I did read the article and saw that he is from Syria.  It doesn’t say whether he is gainfully employed.  He’s still living in student housing and is married and expecting a baby. I assume his wife is a student but what work does he do other than agitate?  Protests were sparked last week at Barnard and all the protesters wore masks.  [/quote]

It's provisional. And the U.S. Government will definitely allow it to expire rather than life the restrictions. His U.S. Citizen wife should start thinking about what she wants to do when her husband's green card expires, if he is not deported sooner. [/quote]

Then he needs to be charged. And not smuggled across state lines. I know some people are sensitive to "kidnapped."
