1500 pages of pork is unacceptable, and included nonsense like paying Egyptian college students $15m, a restriction on forcing a response to house subpoenas, a pay raise for congress, exempted them from Obamacare,  $850k funding for a single Pryde senior housing complex in Boston, 100 percent funding for rebuilding the Key bridge that is privately owned and insured, reauthorization of a state department agency that republicans have accused of stifling free speech especially Covid information etc. And frankly a lot of Republican supported payments to farmers that should be a standalone proposal. This nonsense of stuffing all this pork into a CR before the holidays needs to stop. [/quote]

The Democrats did vote to avoid a shutdown. An unelected president Musk threatened the republicans with primary challenges and the republicans flip flopped their vote. The democrats said “hell no@, unlike the republicans, their not kissing musk’s arse. [/quote]
