1500 pages of pork is unacceptable, and included nonsense like paying Egyptian college students $15m, a restriction on forcing a response to house subpoenas, a pay raise for congress, exempted them from Obamacare,  $850k funding for a single Pryde senior housing complex in Boston, 100 percent funding for rebuilding the Key bridge that is privately owned and insured, reauthorization of a state department agency that republicans have accused of stifling free speech especially Covid information etc. And frankly a lot of Republican supported payments to farmers that should be a standalone proposal. This nonsense of stuffing all this pork into a CR before the holidays needs to stop. [/quote]
Again, the Republican House majority had years to come up with separate spending bills that would pass and did not.

Also, the bill that just failed was probably more expensive than the one Elon didn’t like.

Agree that separate spending bills should be utilized. The message from the last election is that this type of behavior, left AND right, needs to stop. Stop loading all the junk into a massive bill no one reads and create this emergency spending rationale.

At some point there needs to be a pivot, no? Otherwise this will go on and on.
