The truth is, the lead detectives were not looking for a live Laci -- Al Brocchini concluded she was dead on the night of the 24th, and Craig Grogan arrived at the same conclusion on Christmas Day. This irresponsible and incompetent tunnel vision may well have cost Laci and Conner their lives. People who reported sightings were not even called back. Many of them had to call their information in multiple times. Laci Sightings were not a priority
Everyone knew Scott did it. This was obvious.
+1 Only a clown would believe his lies
The cops wanted a sordid sex tale and were obsessed with Scott’s sex life and jealous of him that they ignored the tips from the not as attractive elder Modesto residents who all saw Laci walking the dog. They really could’ve found Laci alive if they did their due diligence. The first thing out of the burglars mouth before they were even asked was they had nothing to do with the missing woman. That’s super suspicious and a red flag. They came forward to clear themselves but yet their home and van was never searched and when sentenced to jail for burglary, one of the guys bragged in prison to another guy that he did argue with Laci that morning because she crossed the street to confront them
Jealous of him?! Please. He was a big nothing. Is this supposed to be Websleuths? It's bizarre that you care this much and admit that you could even stan for Brian Laundrie. Most likely OJ Simpson, Chris Watts and Brian Kohlberger are innocent too. Occam's Razor. Look into it.
Why would a policeman be jealous of a fertilizer salesman?
Have you seen what the Modesto cops look like? In the A&E doc on YouTube, one of the fat slob detectives says he asked women around him what they thought of Scott Peterson’s looks and he was told by women he was a handsome man and the cops said their first impression was he was “smooth” and charming.. I don’t see anything smooth or charming about Scott but I guess giving a cop a glass of water is smooth and charming. This was days after Laci’s disappearance during the search parties when the cop asked the women around what they thought of how Scott looked. I’m not sure why the cops were even asking this irrelevant question
Scott looked like a puffy drunk back then. He was no prize.
I agree. He was fat and cheap and others at the marina were laughing at how tiny his fishing boat was compared to him. But apparently, Modesto cops thought he was suave and handsome and kept talking about it like weirdos and wanting to tap Ambers phone hoping to hear phone sex and a confession from Scott-neither of which happened
I think you have a thing for him. Those cops weren’t idolizing that trash.
The cops wanted to eavesdrop on possible Amber and Scott phone sex. They were fascinated with both of them and unconcerned about following up on leads about Laci’s disappearance. They didn’t even call one hospital to see if Laci went into labor. They assumed on night 1 after Scott mentioned fishing that it was a murder not a kidnapping and scoured the waters and couldn’t find any bodies until April. Somehow, Laci and Scott wash ashore with different pants/clothing, tape stuck to both their bodies, and a tied rope around Connors neck. How can you wash ashore after four months with tape still stuck on your body and a rope around the neck? The umblicial cord wasn’t found but the rope somehow tied itself under water. They were planted on the shore. It’s impossible to wash ashore with tape on. A bandage can’t even stay on in a pool or during a shower so imagine tape for under 4 months in a bay
