Are you poor? You’re in. Everyone else? Lottery
Nope. Are you advanced merit? We limit you based on your skin color Right kind of skin color? You are in, even if unqualified
What right skin color you mean? Yellow, black, brown? Brown as Indian brown or hispanic brown, or middle east brown, or south asian brown? Why are you so obsessed with this ? Also how do you define they are “unqualified”?
Good question. Why is FCPS school board obsessed with student's skin color at TJ? Why isnt FCPS as race-neutral as it is for basketball teams with 95% of single race?
It's fairly clear that you don't understand the term "race-neutral". In a truly "race-neutral" process, the race of the selected individuals would largely mirror the race of the applicant pool. The new TJ Admissions process does this almost perfectly, while the old process failed at it miserably. You can't make the argument that the new process is "anti-Asian"... the argument you can make is that the old process was "pro-Asian" to a fairly extreme degree. I would be curious to know how many high school basketball tryouts you've been to and your evaluation of whether or not the applicant pool is significantly racially different from the team that is eventually selected.
