None of the youngsters are stars except girma. It's plain as day. A bunch of future role players
How can you say that when youngsters aren’t even getting a chance! Ridiculous younger players weren’t tapped and some of those who were didn’t get ANY minutes!
Youngsters not getting a chance is an overstatement. Fox is 25. Smith is 22. Demelo is 25. Thompson is 18. Rodman is 21. Girma is 23. Sanchez is 24. Sanchez is the only one you can argue didn't get a chance. Next fewest minutes was Thompson who didn't show a lot in her admittedly limited time, but she was still out there with chance to show she wasn't overwhelmed but didn't. Among our injuried players are Swanson (25) and Macario (23) who might be 2 of our best players. So there are plenty of younger players selected, all but Sanchez got some time, and 2 more who almost certainly would have made the team and started if not injured. That doesn't even consider that Dahlkemper, Sauerbraun, and Sam Mewis, two of which would have been sitting right near their prime in Mewis & Dahlkemper at 30 and provided additional options, but wouldn't fall in the "young" category, although aren't exactly old either.
