Well, your kids are small if I recall. Things will get better as they age. I remember doing Jillian Michaels workouts in my family room for a few years. I love Thai food. I've been trying to get some for a while now, but no one else in my family likes it and DD is allergic to peanuts so she avoids it. Sounds delicious! I am doing really well overall. I think I had 7g added sugar yesterday (oatmeal) and that's it. Veggies and rice for lunch and a carnitas burrito from California Tortilla that DH brought home from work lunch that no one else claimed. No sweets, no chips. Heading to the beach tomorrow on a good note. I listened to the latest Bari Weiss podcast with Peter Attia which focused on how to live longer/better. No surprises, of course, get enough sleep, don't eat too much, eat foods with enough nutrients, get exercise. But the thing that he focused on with exercise was trying to work at a level where you are not able to converse comfortably. I will admit that when I jog, I'm pretty slow. Today I pushed myself to be breathing hard and am going to focus on that. The struggle is then that I'm so exhausted after that, I can't do my strength training. If I delay strength training, I just don't do it later. It's a constant problem. The solution would be to strength train before the workout, but I can't make my muscles do that right when I wake up. If I didn't work, I could do a cardio workout in the morning and a strength training one in the afternoon, but it's not realistic and I'm nowhere near retirement. I am 99% sure I've lost 1 pound, though it's hard to tell with all the fluctuations. I've weighed in consistently one pound less for the past three days. I'm excited about it. I also want to take my measurements again but maybe not for a few weeks. Today is a normal day. Should be easy to stay on track.
