Congrats! My kid is like yours but our private only allows 10 applications. My DC is into 3, rejected 1 so far and deferred at 2, DC is a bit nervous and would like to apply to more but can’t. [/quote]

PP- DC was specifically told to put some EA schools on their list (this is not to make you feel bad but just in case you have another kid that will go through this--it is certainly a horrible process and we are all learning as we go.).  DC's EA schools were definitely not necessarily on their radar at first (and so far they have only heard from one) but it is good to know that they are in to one school and will at least hear back from a couple more in December so there will be time (if necessary) to apply to a few more.  Again, not to make you feel bad but in case you have to deal with this process again.[/quote]
