If you use the term “lesser ivy” I immediately know know things about you: 1. You didn’t graduate from an Ivy 2. You’re an utter imbecile.
NP. I graduated from two HYPs. I think of the other Ivies as lesser Ivies, although in varying degrees. UPenn and Cornell are pretty far down there. Columbia I respect more. Brown and Dartmouth middle-ish. You are an utter imbecile if you think there are no distinctions among the Ivies. Some of the SLACs - Swarthmore, Williams, and Amherst - are stronger academically than some of the lesser Ivies.
Congratulations. You just won the asshole post of the year award!
Thank you. It’s always gratifying to see how easy it is to needle the graduates of lesser Ivies!
Actually, I'm not an Ivy grad at all, be it a "top Ivy" or a "lesser Ivy," or however you wish to categorize them. Not that it particularly matters, but my undergrad degree was from CalTech, and my graduate degree was from MIT. Since neither of those are Ivies, I'm pretty sure I must rate perhaps one rung above pond scum in your apparent "HYP or nothing" view of the world. And funny thing is, somehow I'm ok with that. I think I'll survive :)
