I don't know why you're honed in on the purple sweater when there are a lot of other examples of her dressing much too old for her age. In my 20s (20+ years ago), I probably would have worn that purple sweater, sure. But I wouldn't have been caught dead in an oversized suit jacket, those weird pleated tapered pants she wears, etc., I actually wore stylish, fitted skirt and pant suits every single day. Key word: fitted.[/quote]

New to this subtopic: I’m sure the poster was talking about it because it was posted as an example of bad old fashion.  It’s not particularly terrible. There are lots of examples of her being an old lady but the purple wasn’t one. Why can’t you say - purple sweater was a bad example and then post more bad ones? No need for you to die on the hill either [/quote]
