[twitter]
It’s going to be interesting to see how both Arab and Jewish Americans vote in this election
As a white American who cares deeply about this issue, I'm really not sure how to vote? Trump's rhetoric, decision to move the embassy to Jerusalem, his acceptance of $100M donation in exchange for the West Bank and his general flippant personality aren't appealing. Yet, the fact remains that 18,000 Palestinian children died under Biden/Harris. So much money was sent to Israel. Frankly, I'll probably have to abstain due to moral reasons at the federal level. Not that my presidential vote matters in Maryland...
Neither option are great but one good thing about Trump is he doesn’t fear negotiation. Again, he spoke with the Taliban just like Ronald Reagan did. Trump has business interests in Qatar. For all we know Hamas has stayed at his hotel. I don’t think Kamala can force Netanyahu or Hamas to any negotiation because she has no roots or history in the region. Trump has a footprint in the region and a relationship with both and is respected by both despite what the mainstream media likes to think. Real respect is fear and even Israel itself respects Hamas more than the President Abbas of the Palestinian Authority. Dominance makes one a giant among men sadly and Kamala just being a woman puts her at a big disadvantage (hence Putin being sexist and sarcastically wishing her a victory). Walz is super beta and doesn’t help matters. Trump is a wild card to the Middle East because he has business interests with Erdogan/Turkey, Qatar, and he’s friends with Netanyahu, MBS, and Putin. This makes him excellent as a negotiator because he has leverage. I Don’t know what leverage Kamala has. She doesn’t believe in fossil fuels or oil so half the ME isn’t going to trust a word she says. Israelis/Jews don’t like her and don’t seem to care her husband and stepkids are Jewish. Again, Trump in my opinion has potential to end all major wars going on now (Yemen, Israel, Armenia, Russia)
