https://recruitingrundown.com/2017/09/14/recruiting-rundowns-top-100-for-the-class-of-2019-juniors/ Two of them listed here as 4 stars. Shockingly the OSU recruit not mentioned as he might have the most upside for college ball
These "ranking" write-ups are not worth a whole lot. I am sure they are good players. I am also sure that there are many players as good who are not on this list. I am also sure that many of these players listed will struggle to find time on the field in college. It happens year after year. On a credibility scale of 1 to 10, in my opinion the opinions in these lists are a solid 5!
I will add that the RR ranking from Ty Xanders was more legit than the Inside Lacrosse rankings. Ty was independent and did try for accurate rankings. The Inside Lacrosse ranking is used to promote events they either run or support and cover. NLF events for example do not hit the radar of IL and will cause players to get missed. Maybe it is a good thing there is not an official ranking of HS players. As far as being sure that many of these players will struggle in college, that may be statistically correct but I cannot speak for any of these players personally. Many were in the zany days of 8th and 9th grade recruits and so this is probably correct. I think the new rules will help schools do a better job in getting in right with a players potential.
