Um, you know what else wasn't real? Blake's (Ryan's) allegations. It was BS intended to make them money at the expense of the truth and reputation of the actual director. And their arse kissing hangers on gleefully participated.
Every one of her allegations was truthful. It was deemed not to be SH (or she was deemed an independent contractor who can't bring SH claims) but they were all real allegations. And the judge explicitly said that it was reasonable for her to have believed she was sexually harassed when these things happened. Baldoni is a bad director who no one liked and even his friends and business partners know to be immature and hard to work with. He ruined his own reputation. If he wanted to maintain a good reputation in Hollywood, he should perhaps not have asked is lead actress's trainer about her weight, kept bringing up his porn addiction on set, kept talking to Blake about her dead father, and kept offending actresses on set by calling them hot, saying he must have "missed the HR meeting", or saying he could talk like this because his wife was there. He also jut ran a disorganized and unprofessional set that many people complained about. Blake and Ryan didn't do any of that. I don't even like Blake and Ryan but Baldoni ruined his own rep by sucking at his job. How about make this adult man take responsibility for his own behavior instead of blaming it all on multiple women, his "neurodiversity", or Ryan Reynolds. I mean, grow up.
NP. Even if all of this is true, why in the world would Blake and Ryan spend all this time and money on lawsuits because this guy was weird/immature/an a-hole/bad at his job? By the time you get to adulthood, literally everyone has had to deal with a sh*tty boss or crappy job at one time or another. That doesn't make it lawsuit-worthy-- or even if it IS lawsuit-worthy, it's very rarely worth the time, energy, and money to bring the lawsuit. Any sane person would move on with their life. They went the full-scale nuclear option for no other reason than exacting revenge on their perceived enemies, but spinning it as "I am standing up for all victimized women everywhere. Look at what a hero I am." It's straight out of the narcissist's playbook, basically.
