As an American citizen, I can want a better life for me and my family while also wanting a path to citizenship for people coming here seeking a better life. In fact, an essential element of a better life for me includes a diverse and multi-cultural society. Nobody is saying there should be open borders, but deportation should be systematic and reasonable. Raiding Mexican restaurants is not it.
