"The allegations first surfaced in WC Dispatch, an Ohio-based conservative blog run by independent investigative journalist Walter Curt Jr. His father, Walter Curt Sr., is a Youngkin appointee to the Virginia State Council of Higher Education and has donated thousands of dollars to both Youngkin and Earle-Sears." (https://virginiamercury.com/2025/08/25/fairfax-abortion-allegations-fuel-new-political-firestorm-in-virginia-governors-race/) Just pointing out that there is a potential for bias in this reporting.
I think that was addressed early on in this chat, there is an explicit bias in his reporting. It's timed to impact the upcoming elections. That being said, FCPS couldn't have handled it any worse, their immediate action was to cover it up and deny knowledge, so they got caught lying. An independent investigation is needed and anyone who committed crimes or who covered up crimes or policy violations should be fired, right up to the top. Nixon learned that the cover up can be worse than the crime, maybe Reid will learn the same lesson.
What evidence has been provided that FCPS lied? Not trying to be confrontational here, but just wanting to get the facts. From what I've read, the bulk of the evidence for this happening has come from one employee. Is there proof that this went all the way up the chain? Also, where is the money trail? I oversee a nonprofit's finances, and we have records going back more than four years. If there's a weird payment, then it's pretty easy to find it. I imagine if FCPS authorized payment to an abortion organization, then that can be tracked pretty easily. If an employee paid out of pocket and was reimbursed, again, that's going to be pretty easy to track down.
There is no money trial the whistle blowers evidence per her audio recording is that the student said she personally didn't pay for the abortion, so she says that the social worker must have paid for it, which Perez says is factual because she knows that abortion clinics don't provide abortions for free, so of course the social worker paid for it. Also from Perez (whistle blowers audio), the students was driven to her appointment her boyfriend (adult), and not the social worker. Now there is a Nov. 2022 letter allegedly written by the student (not notarized) and not written contemporaneously, rather it's dated a Nov. 2022 year after the alleged abortion took place (Nov. 2021), and 6 months after Perez was brought into the office to answer to a direct reports from a student, backed up by a teacher who said Perez had bought her a pregnancy test. A week after the May 5, 2022 meeting where Perez was questioned about her purchasing pregnancy tests Perez writes (per her audio recording and a copy of email attach) a May 13, 2022 rebuttal email to the principal which says in a nutshell, I didn't buy the test. I asked the student if she asked the social worker about the test, but the social worker (the same one Perez accused of paying for and arranging for the abortion) refused to buy the student a $5 pregnancy test, and told the student to talk to a "teacher" instead, so student comes crying back to her. Perez has kept this information confidential for a long time but just can't anymore, now that she's been caught red-handed, so she spill the beans on the social worker. (payback?). Which Perez swears up and down she wouldn't do, but even if she did do it, buying pregnancy tests is minor in comparison to what the social worker did, which was to buy and book secret abortions. Phew back to the Nov. 2022 abortion student letter which was written 6 months after the (May 2022) pregnancy test blow up meeting and rebuttal email re Abortion scandal , and one year post alleged abortion (Nov. 2021). The Nov. 2022 ltr. wasn't notarized, so I guess the letter could have been written by anyone. Anyway the letter which was allegedly written by the student says social worker "helped with a pregnancy termination, or abortion" That the social worker "made the appointment for me at the abortion clinic in Fairfax". "She paid for the procedure and kept quiet about it, not letting my family know." There is no mention of the social worker taking her to the clinic. But we do learn from the recording of another meeting with Perez and the Principal, which occurred also in Nov. 2022, that her adult boyfriend took her. Perez claims in the audio recording that the girl is still suffering great pain one year after the abortion procedure and that is one of the reasons she's coming in 1 year after the fact and 6 months after her rebuttal email. At some point the alleged student and her "mother" have allegedly been deported, so at this point we have a letter that was allegedly written by the student, which describes an alleged abortion, that was allegedly paid for and arranged for by a social worker. The alleged girl is in Guatemala somewhere. There is a reason no major networks have picked up this story.
Where is this information from?
Asra Investigates, which I'm fairly certain isn't a left leaning blog.
