How many Sidwell graduates per year? Lots of UPenn and Northwestern this year.
Its been in the ~125 range the last several years.
Penn, Northwestern, UChicago, Cornell, and (unsurprisingly) Harvard are very popular among Sidwell students, and those schools seem to love Sidwell. On average, Sidwell sends about 4-6 students per year to those five schools (always on the lower end of that range for Harvard). This year is shaping up to be more of the same. Two of the three Sidwell students who are going to Harvard haven’t posted on IG (and probably won’t do so). Another student who was admitted to Harvard hasn’t made a final decision yet (that student was admitted to several Ivies). So far, about 22% of this year’s graduating class is heading to an Ivy+ university. That percentage will probably rise to about 25% by graduation. At least 75% of Sidwell’s graduates will end up at a T50 university or T25 SLAC.
I also care about how they do in colleges. For those middling students that didn't get in T20, it's safe to assume they are strong performers in their respective schools? Ivy or not. College prep, college readiness, is where these expensive private high schools worth their money. Say if one gets in Tulane or Tufts and excels there as a top student, I think he will be just fine as his peer who got in Cornell or Dartmouth.
