I have a senior at a Big 3:

Wisconsin is for b+/a- and ABOVE students with good to great test scores and lots of rigor.  Keep in min the heavy hitter kids use it as a safety. Almost a third of the class from our school applied and about 6 that I know of got in EA the rest deferred or rejected.

That is a ridiculous list- Tulane maybe if ED and full pay, if not forget it
Hamilton and Bates are more competitive.

One "B" Average Big-3 Student is not the same as another. Have to consider what classes were taken (advanced math and sciences or not) as well as if the lower grades are explained by exceptional extra curriculars like being nationally ranked in a sport etc.

A student taking the hardest course load at a Big-3 and ending up with say a 3.30 GPA  (Which would be averaging B+) should definitely get into schools like Hamilton.[/quote]
