I disagree.  The player selection was horrible!  They had 4 years to bring in new players and they brought in 4. They didn't trust the young girls but they put in players that obviously weren't in form. I'd rather have a young player make a mistake then an old player make one.

Hmmm the only one I was truly impressed by was T Rodman.  My favorite player is Rose Lavelle.  Beyond both, nobody else impressed.  And the old guard even sucked.  I think the coach was at fault but the entire organization failed.

I'm not sure that I enjoy the approach of US soccer as others have noted.  As much as I'd love to cheer for US, they don't play soccer the right way lol.  I love the Dutch style of play but they need to have a bit more aggressiveness and if so, I think they will win it all.  I honestly don't know that the UD had been that much better all these years as much as other countries weren't serious about women's soccer.  Title IX happened years ago and with it came the momentum in US.  But other than being in the sport, not sure we really understand the refinement and how beautiful the sport can be.  I see the US approach to playing soccer as one of how to play kickball effectively.  I hate to put it like that but it's the truth - all the clubs know is this.[/quote]
