I agree that public schools aren't great at teaching English, but they do teach history in schools. I'm also an immigrant.. came here as a baby. My parents don't speak English and knew nothing about US history, nor were they teaching us about western culture at home. I learned about US history in a public school rated much lower than MPCS. Believe me, MCPS is teaching US history.[/quote]
