Congrats!!! Parent of magnet public school here, and had similar trajectory. It all looked pretty mediocre until about a week ago, and then this Thursday was a delightful surprise. But, two of the ones I was sure she'd get into were WL at one competitive school where she had gotten very positive departmental feedback and at a true safety a limited program rejection and kind of unresponsive nothing for the general school after they made her a finalist for their elite scholarship (rolling admissions). Bizarre. Glad we spread the net a little wide but also glad we didn't do the 20 app thing. 14 was plenty for a kid who was still feeling her way around different program interests. 10 would have been fine otherwise.[/quote]
