Nobody in the larger parent community cares about SJC dominating the WCAC in lacrosse. All these D1-level players mean no playing time for other kids (who actually want to be at SJC for the school community, not just to play a sport). I am not of a "good riddance" opinion, but, my family (and most other families) chose SJC due to the school culture and academics. If you are choosing a school just to play a sport there, well, I guess buyer beware.[/quote]

Based on game attendance it does appear that more people care about football and basketball. I never said recruited athletes of any sport aren’t giving back to the school, or part of the school community, you said that.[/quote]

You did say it by inferring recruited athletes take away playing time from families interested in the SJC community. And I agree in that the high school recruited/scholarship athlete returns very little. Dozens of examples across the country and right here in dc. [/quote]
