I am *so* excited for the FCHS renovation - having haters say it is undeserved and poor kids should make do with less makes it even more satisfying. My kids got an amazing education and terrific community there, my house was cheap and a great commute into the city, and now my property value will go up with the renovation just as I am getting ready to retire and move. So your support for this renovation is really motivated by your increase in property value..  Not that there's anything wrong with that..

We are one of those "not so favored" minorities and live in a neighborhood that's on the border between a good school district (which we are in) and not-so-good school district.  With one kids already done with HS and another with a couple of years left, the only thing we care about at this point is rezoning and it's impact on my property value.

Politically, we are in the middle but have always voted democrat.  The hatred and thinly veiled racism against people like me was obvious in the TJ related discussion boards was an eye-opener.   This School Board has to go, even if the replacements are 12 Donald Trump clones.   I know dozens of people who, like me, hate DJT,  would never dream of voting Republican at the national level, but are dying to do get rid of the current SB.  It's going to be a good SB election. :lol: [/quote]
