At the DA and ECNL levels it is about both winning and development and positive brand recognition by the three primary customers: players, college coaches, and youth NT scouts/coaches. If the business thinks it can accomplish this by cutting fees / giving aid and staying in business, then that is their call. Playing elite level soccer is not a right, it is a privilege. Most have to pay, some don’t. Those that don’t are probably the best at least in the minds of those offering the aid. If you don’t get it for free and don’t want to play, then play normal travel and/or high school ball, but don’t begrudge the players that get it and clubs that provide it. [/quote]
