Moving Key will cost money no matter where you move it. If the budget is tight, I can imagine this being put on hold. I apologize if I’m late to the conversation, but have they released cost projections associated with a swap?
Well, obviously the Superintendent specified the swap would happen in 2-3 years (2020/2021), so yes it will be put on hold. A lot can happen in those 3 years, so they will focus on So Arl now and maintain the status quo for Key/ASFS for the next 3 years.
+1 I love how all these posters scream "fake news" or "it didn't happen" when we talk about what APS or Murphy has said, released, or done that doesn't favor them but when someone says there will be a swap, the same posters are like, "oh yeah, that's a done deal" or "Murphy said it, it's happening." If there is ANYTHING we should all know by now is that APS and Murphy say A LOT of stuff and change positions quite often. We have at least two more years before anything is going to happen at the Key or ASFS buildings so everyone should just sit back and enjoy these threads for the next two to three years. And to bring the PP poster up to speed, APS said that it will move ASFS to Key, including the science lab. But APS only (originally) budgeted $44K for the move (or 10 boxes per classroom). ASFS claims that all their personal stuff is worth at least a half a million dollars and will likely cost way more than $44K to move or recreate. No idea if Key has anything special that needs to be moved.
Yup they do -- bilingual education has it's own stuff too. Their entire library of books in Spanish for example will need to move. Way more than 10 boxes sad to say. We all know Science Focus thinks the world revolves around them but turns out there's a whole big world out there and our tax dollars are not funding your fancy "stuff"
