Creigh Deeds didn't "finally realize" mental health care is necessary--he had been an advocate for health care in all forms for some time. He just "finally" had a tangible connection to use in his call to action. The Kansas father actively voted against regulation that might have prevented his son's tragic death. But regardless, the man lost his child, so I'm sure that's punishment enough.[/quote]
