But if you have to make the choice between home on xmas morning and not seeing extended family xmas day (ie- out of town family) its not silly to have it somewhere else. I'd rather 100times over that my kids get to have xmas day with their aunts and cousins and grandparents (who they are close to because we see each other throughout the year) than have them open gifts at home, doesn't make mine right or wrong.
