OP here. Yes, I know. I wish I weren't serious. And it was actually my 7th grader - we were discussing this morning and my 12 year old reminded me that it was he who had told me this.

He said a girl in his class came out to him and said he was the first person she was telling. First, that she was bi, then a month later, decided she was actually "pan." I had to look it up myself. I may not have had the best reaction to him telling me this as it was so appalling to me. Apparently the distinction for this student was that it also included that she could be welcoming to a transgender individual. [/quote]
