She works for the Independent Women Forum (http://www.iwf.org/about) which is ultra conservative and anti- woman (read between the lines on their site) who Trump's campaign manager Kellyanne Conway sits on the board of. Ashley claims she spoke at both the Democratic and Republican conventions which is not true as well. We have enough liars who exploit children of color and poor children in DC. It's on us to stay informed, vote with knowledge, and take action to hold public leaders accountable.

Markus Batchelor - Age 23, graduated from Thurgood Marshall Charter School, DC native, lives, eats, breathes political life since high school, dropped out of American University to pursue DC politics, strongly supported by new Ward 8 council member Trayon White and friends, very active campaign

Lanette Woodruff (uncontested) - part of green team, Democrats for Education Reform candidate, husband is Darren Woodruff who's on the DC Public Charter School Board, has children that attended DCPS and charter schools, Howard alum, made no effort on campaign besides one party thrown by brandon todd

Bolded used to be true when the BOE had real power.  Not true anymore- I can't remember any of the recent councilmembers who have been on the BOE beforehand.[/quote]
