"Appy's"? Stop.
Who says this, just out of curiosity? Are you Australian, watching footie, eating breakie with the bikkies and the chokkie, etc? We keep unopened, fresh bags of assorted rice crackers, as well as cheeses, good olives, fresh nuts, fruit, hummus, chips, salsa, (and ingredients for throwing together dips), and assorted beverages. In the winter, the teens or I have usually baked something.
I actually AM Australian and I regularly say things like "bikkie", "brekkie", "chockies" and "footie" especially to my kids as I want them to learn my lingo but "appy" just sounds wrong, wrong, wrong to my Aussie ear. If you're going to use Aussie slang you have to get it right. I reckon that the poster is an American wannabe Aussie who just made up the word "appy".
The list of folks who are wannabe Aussies must be extremely limited.
