People need to tell their children not to bring up politics in school.   No good can come of it.   It sounds like your daughter and her friend were bullying this boy and trying to get a reaction out of him.  And when they did they were shocked!   I feel sorry for your child.   Having so much anger and hatred toward another child just because his parents have different politics than yours is really sad.
