They can go to school - but let them PAY for it. Why should Georgia taxpayers have to finance the college educations of those who are not lawful residents? And as far as what alternative, well....I guess that's the problem when you break a country's laws by immigrating illegally. You're boxed in, because people feel you shouldn't be taking jobs or college slots (and funding) away from legal residents. Maybe others who are thinking of sneaking across the borders will think twice if they realize they will face some obstacles, and do it the legal way.

But as far as those already here, I guess we need to give them work permits. But we certainly don't have to pay for their bachelor's degrees when we have millions of our own citizens unable to afford college.[/quote]
