Not a vegetarian craving flesh, but a vegan craving cheese! Any time I think about cheese, I eat something else, so I'm not hungry. And I think about the treatment of dairy cows, specifically the forcible insemination and taking away of their babies, so humans can drink the calves' milk. Cravings solved! Please pass the guacamole!
Spoken like someone who's never actually set foot on a dairy farm.
Not worth it PP. They saw a PETA documentary in grad school and only they know the truth.
NP here. I have never seen a PETA doc But I have been on factory dairy farms. Not every dairy farm is a cute little mom and pop deal. There are a lot of big, gross, really awful dairy "farms" out there. I am not vegan, but I am SUPER careful about how I source my dairy, and if I can't be sure, I just don't eat it. You can be dismissive if you like, but it just takes you seem unwilling to learn anything different than your experience: the SAME thing you are accusing PPs of. At any rate, a craving does not signify a nutritional deficiency, so OP's sister doesn't need to worry. She just needs to decide if the craving is stronger than her convictions, in the moment.
