And that is the reason you tell your wife, but you are a closet case.  There is no straight man, ever, who lost his attraction to women in general or their wives specifically because they witnessed childbirth.  Most men witness it now, cut the cord, there the whole time.

And those men are queer.  I asked the obstetrician and my wife if I could catch my first-born during a relatively smooth delivery and they both agreed to let me.  I also cut the cord too as I held him in my arms, blood, mucus, sac, and all.  But I also took part in delivering dozens of calves that had a little trouble on the way out, as well as castrating hundreds of yearling bulls, back in my younger days on the farm so I had a lot of practice to begin with.  Assisting in the birth of my child is by far my best memory and put the seal on the love that I have for my wife and family.  And twenty years later (along with a few extra pounds and two more kids), there has not been a single day that has gone by where I have not tried to seduce my wife.
