Chances are it was an inside job BY the corrupt police, and Lochte lied because he knew the government is corrupt and it was probably better to let it go. I find it really hard to believe he master minded a fake robbery because he's afraid of his mom, and all of his friends went along with it. (Either by lying for him or standing by silently and pretending they were involved.) That makes zero sense. Let's not forget that originally, the police accused him of lying about NOT being robbed. Clearly they're a damn mess as well. [/quote]
