He knows that if I have to ask him more than twice to exit the pool we will not be going back to the pool for at least a month. He knows that if he doesn't listen to me at the pool we immediately go home. I go over this in the car on the way to the pool, and generally he's able to manage his behavior there. You don't have to physically remove your kid from the pool, but saying "If you're not out of the pool in the next minute we won't be back at the pool for the rest of the month" is a pretty good incentive.[/quote]
