The Ashburn/LCPS schools all do have playgrounds it's just that the PTA funded them. Not an issue when there's tens of thousands in the coffers. Now the newer schools have that line item built into the school budget. But no school just doesn't have one. The staggered start times are great. I can get my elementary/preschool kids to school in the morning and still have time to get to work at the high school because there's over an hour gap between the two start times.
I assume that that means you get out at least an hour after they do in the afternoon.
Yes but aftercare from 2:35-4:20 isn't that bad.
NP here. When I first moved to Loudoun (from out of state) I didn't know about the school start time order (Elem, then Middle, then High). When I learned of it, it sounded terrible to me. Well, now that I have a rising 3rd grader and Kindergartner, I love it and am so glad they will get to sleep at little later as they get older. They have zero trouble getting up now, and I get nice early bedtimes out of them, which I prefer.
