And who do you think will stop him?  The Republican "leaders" who have done such a good job so far standing up to him (during their endorsement speeches)?  Or the desperate electorate who is somehow willing to turn their backs on everything we grew up loving about this country and what makes it great just so they can feel like "winners" again?[/quote]

Not to mention, while I think this comparison is overused and usually not appropriate, everyone thought that the other members of the government would keep a lid on Hitler's worst instincts too. It is, in fact, a very slippery slope. [/quote]
