Mom cars: Honda Odessy Toyota Sienna Toyota Highlander Mom car for mom who thinks she's too cool for a minivan: Honda Pilot Acura MDX
Those are suburban mom cars. City mom cars are more like: Forester Mazda 5 Prius
Part 1: absolutely true. Especially true for the Pilot & MDX. Part 2: What neighborhood are you talking about?? Or maybe you are not in DC. Forester & Mazda 5 are extremely rare, almost nonexistent in my area of NW. I see Prius on the roads but usually driven by old people or lame middle-aged men.
I'm in NE. Maybe it more of a WOTP/EOTP difference than a suburb/city one.
It could be WOTP/EOTP. There are seemingly zillions of Mazda 5 and Foresters in Capitol Hill (I know, I know, some don't think of the Hill as really EOTP). Lots of Odyssey and Sienna minivans too. On the higher end - Acura MDX and Lexus RXs, and recently the NX crossovers. I'm a city mom who drives a Lexus.
