where are you getting this from?  in the Koran it says that if you find people being openly gay, you should separate them and the if they persist, shun them.  Wahhabism is not the true Islam anymore than being Amish is the true Christianity.  Christian countries like Uganda with their Episcopalian bishops advocate jail time and execution for gays as well- are they symbolic of all Christians? The problem with people like you is that you think Islam is a minority, monolithic faith when it is smaller only than Christianity in its scope and has just as much variation. Its on its 14th century- go back and read how awful Christendom was in it's 14th century and this was without the horror of colonization and white supremacy  which made life miserable in most of Africa, Asia, North & South America and Australia for people of non european descent. They are all angry but Muslims have historically always fought Europeans and So forces like ISIS are casting this as a Crusades type battle and you are buying it.

Most Muslims internally say stuff like- " I don't understand what Allah's problem is with gay people" not "yay lets go shoot them" and I am an actual Muslim so I think I'd know. Your grandparents probably believed in the chronicles of the elders of zion so your generation can believe that billions of people who fluidly leave and enter a faith are involved in a conspiracy theory and successfully hiding it from the world.
