[quote=Anonymous]I think there is a process where 8th graders need to verify their residency. Here is a link to the form: http://www.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/uploadedFiles/schools/secondary%281%29/news/Student%20Residency%20Verification%20560-33.pdf and an old link describing what needs to be done and why: http://www.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/press/printPress.aspx?id=1401 From the sound of it, it looks like the main purpose is to make sure there are no out of county students attending who should be paying tuition. With records, the standards will probably vary by school. And I'm sure some schools where you wouldn't think people would go to the trouble of sending their kids too might be a bit more lax about some of the requirements. I think for the cases where a student moves, they let the student stay in the current school for the remainder of the school year but the student then has to go to the new school the following school year from this webpage: http://www.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/info/transfers/ "Family Relocation: When a family moves within Montgomery County, preference to remain in the original school will be considered to complete the current school year only.
