DH here:  the question is framed in a way that is hard to deal with thoughtfully.  I think it is pretty normal for people to have attraction to people other than their spouse that temporarily spikes well above their normal desire for their partner.  This typically passes.  Sex with a new partner would certainly be hotter, for a time, than sex with your spouse.   While it is hard to be honest, I think this kind of attraction is relatively commonplace and natural, and nothing for anyone to feel bad about, whether they feel it or their spouse does.  To compare it to the mundane normal thing is kind of an unfair comparison.  I think that in theory agreed-upon, occasional deviations from monogamy would make many married people much more happy.  It practice, it would be very destabilizing for most and thus not worth the risk.  [/quote]
