[/quote] Yeah I think the style people are describing is more generally preppy - not really specific to the south (and I think historically more associated with the northeast) but maybe more popular there now than in the big northern cities, where things trend more edgy/hipster or professional. Certainly the really polished "done" hair and makeup is more prevalent in the south.[/quote]
