Lovely. I will say I don't for a moment believe that Trump himself is anti-Semitic (in the sense of thinking Jews are evil, though he clearly does subscribe to some stereotypes). I don't even really think he is racist. I do think he is a misogynist. But the problem for me is that even without being these things, he somehow inspires a rabid following among people who are violently anti-Semitic and racist and misogynist. Because he is willing to use rhetoric that appeals to them even if he doesn't believe it. Hence the refusal to disavow David Duke, etc. I find it almost worse that a man who doesn't even believe this stuff is willing to exploit it. It's indicative of serious character flaws and it makes me seriously question his judgment and integrity.[/quote]
That's it exactly. He cynically and skillfully exploits resentment and hate in the pursuit of power. He appeals to the worst in people and makes them feel OK, even good, expressing their most bigoted feelings. [/quote]
