If a manager implemented this new rule thinking it would motivate an attendee to take better notes, but doesn't discuss the issue with the crummy note-taker, then that manager really sucks and needs to go back to manager school. A good manager would address the issue by taking the note-taker aside and saying, "I've noticed you get distracted during meetings and the notes are suffering. What's going on?" And then going forward from there.[/quote]
