I don't understand why he can't be both. He's been in Congress for 25 years and is arguably an established politician. His views are on the extreme left. Which of the two points do you disagree with? [/quote]

+1. Stupid question. Plenty of people who've been rattling around congress forever but are pretty extreme in their positions and could never be elected president. Why are these things difficult to reconcile? [/quote]
