A lot of newer (like in the last 3-4 years) cars now have USB ports in them instead of the old lighter adapters. In that case you can just plug in your regular phone charger. Look into that. Otherwise what you are looking for is an adapter that has a big round thing on the end to go into the lighter hole in the car. We actually have power adapters in all our cars anyway because we use them to charge phones while we are traveling (lots of 9+ hour drives to New England) but I also have a car adapter I bought at Best Buy that has actual outlet plugs. I got it because I work at home and need to be able to charge my laptop in addition to my phone so I can continue to work (and can use my phone as a wifi hotspot).[/quote]
