[/quote] My son was incredibly verbal, a kid who was cracking jokes with the neighbors at 18 months, and still had the most epic tantrums until he hit 5 even though he had all the verbal skills he needed to express himself at a young age. My daughter, who is not as verbal, is still having tantrums at 5.5. Drives me nuts. But they are assertive, outgoing kids who like to do things for themselves and engage with other people without any fear. I'm hoping that's the upside.[/quote]
