My friend just bought a home about the same as ours in Vienna for twice the price that still needed tons of renovation. Shut your trap. Our neighborhood may not be beautiful, but it is turning over and tons of young families are moving in. Our home has been mostly renovated and modernized by us. Frankly, in our bracket, there aren't a ton of newer options in this area. And we're eyeing the west Springfield area right now and frankly would have to pay more for less than we have here - homes around the same age and nowhere near as nicely renovated as our current home. Plus, most of them have crappy layouts and lousy outdoor space.[/quote]
