But their kids were not older or SN.[/quote] It does happen, and unfortunately sometimes adoptions are disrupted. I hope that won't be the case if I go through with it. I won't give up the moment things are difficult because I know they will be difficult. I do know of one family who adopted two boys from Ethiopia and one had severe RAD. It was not good. Even if they do not have RAD, there will be a bonding/attachment period - it is not automatic (if it does appear automatic - the child probably has attachment issues!) [/quote]
