Oh, that is horrible.  Poor thing. I'll bet her coworkers will be more understanding than she would ever know.  Lots of folks have been through that sort of thing with older parents or sick friends.  Our bodies can do some really unlovely things to us sometimes.  I hope she comes back with her head held high.

I totally sympathize with IBS sufferers. But I have an friend's exH that has IBS and regularly has accidents in the car. He doesn't put a towel down on the seat (eww) and just stops at the next exit to throw away his underwear (but doesn't wash his jeans--and yes you can smell it) What I don't understand is why he doesn't wear Depends. It's not like it's a rate occurrence for him. [/quote]
